About Eric Heikkinen
Eric Heikkinen is a full time web designer and community manager for Pligg CMS, an open source social networking platform. He also freelances as a photographer and cinematographer. Eric obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Savannah College of Art and Design, and his work has been used by the following organizations:

Pligg LLC Hisory
Eric founded the online business Pligg LLC in 2009, but he has been involved in supporting and growing the Pligg CMS community since December 2005. Pligg CMS is a content management platform that powers tens of thousands of websites. It specializes in creating social publishing networks, where users submit and promote content similar to sites like Digg, Reddit, and Mixx.
Pligg has been used by several large corporations for promoting great ideas from both internal and external networks. One example of this type of use is OpenDNS’ Idea Bank, which uses Pligg to have users submit ideas for improving the OpenDNS software. Pligg CMS has been used in a variety of industries and for a number of purposes, and as of May 2010 it currently has a community of over 50,000 users and has been downloaded in excess of 300,000 times.
